RIVER SCHOOL FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

32 students of Tumbuh 2 Primary School Yogyakarta participated in river school for 3 hours in April 2018.  As for the material provided id a theory of what rivers are and the practice on introducting abiotic and biotic elements that make up the river by plunging into the river body.

RIVER SCHOOL FOR AN EARLY AGE

Education about river schools and the environment from an early age is considered very important. Therefore, the river school program for kindergarten on the banks of Kali Code is carried out regularly with the method of playing. One example of this is making compost from home waste which is then used to grow vegetables and ornamental plants.

RIVER SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS

The roaming package of Kampung Code and Kali Code are made specifically for Australian and Yogyakarta students who are learning about Social Urban Development. The activity was carried out along Kewek-Jetisharjo by crossing 6 villages with a distance of 3 kilometers. During the Kampung Exploration activities, participants learned about the socio-economic cultural life and the issues that exist in the Kali Code community through dialogue and direct interaction with the residents.

RIVER SCHOOLS FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND COMMUNITIES

The river school also organizes packages for local government and interested communities. This program has been held 3 times since 2015 in collaboration with BNPB RI and followed by a number of districts/cities throughout Indonesia. For 6 days, participants stayed in the homes of Jetisharjo residents then on the last day a city tour was conducted, visiting famous objects in Yogyakarta, such as the Palace, Tamansari, Malioboro and Kotagede.
